There is a lot of misinformation about abortion as different groups advocate for and against pregnancy termination. At Ladys Choice we hope to provide you with the facts on the abortion process

Abortion is a safe medical procedure with 1 out of every 4 women having at least one abortion in their lifetime. You can have an abortion as soon as you have a confirmed pregnancy

Does an abortion afffect future pregnancies & fertility

An abortion does not negatively affect future fertility or your ability to have children in the future. There is no proven connection between abortion and future infertility, ectopic pregnancy or other pregnancy complications.

There's no evidence that either a surgical or medical abortion will cause infertility. When done in a safe setting by a qualified practitioner, an abortion should not change your ability to get pregnant again later on in life.

How will I feel after my abortion?

Each person is different. It’s possible to have some bleeding and cramping after your abortion, so plan on resting in a comfortable place afterwards. By the next day, most people are back to their regular activities.

The predominant feeling most women report after an abortion is relief, but you may feel confusion, resolve, empowerment, sadness, guilt, happiness, or a combination of mixed feelings.
